Introduction to the Chinese Health Association (CHA)
The Chinese Health Association (CHA) is a national-level social organization established to align with the rapid development of China's health sector and to undertake the important mission of advancing the greater health industry. Jointly initiated by over 50 leading medical research institutions, health technology enterprises, and health service providers, CHA was officially approved after a rigorous review by relevant national authorities. Its founding conference was held on December 26, 2015, and it was formally established on April 20, 2016, becoming the first and only national-level association in China's health management field.

Through years of dedicated effort, CHA has grown into one of the most influential social organizations in China's health management sector. It boasts a membership of over 10,000 professionals, supported by a high-level Expert Committee led by dozens of academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The association brings together renowned scholars, industry leaders, and experienced professionals, ensuring its authority and expertise. To facilitate specialized work, CHA has established 43 branches covering various subfields of health management. Recognized for its outstanding industry influence and standardized operations, CHA has been awarded the titles of "National 4A-Level Social Organization" and "National Advanced Social Organization" by relevant government bodies.

Since its inception, CHA has adhered to its fundamental mission of "Promoting Public Health, Enhancing Elderly Well-being, Undertaking Social Responsibilities, and Supporting National Development." Its strategic goal is to "Implement Comprehensive Health Management and Build a Healthy China for All." Guided by the innovative "Four-in-One" working principle—"Providing Sound Advice, Bridging Resources, Integrating Strengths, and Driving Implementation"—CHA has developed the "Five- Dimensional Smart Health Management System," which ensures universal coverage, real-time monitoring, lifelong intervention, comprehensive control, and all-element innovation. The association actively engages in academic exchanges, standard-setting, talent development, and industry regulation, pioneering a new model of health management that is inclusive, timely, systematic, holistic, and innovative, playing a pivotal role in advancing the health management sector.

In health promotion, CHA has successfully organized a series of high-impact brand events. These include the "Healthy China Summit Forum," "National Health Management Conference," "Wuhan World Health Expo," and "Health Management Innovation Conference," held in cities such as Beijing, Hangzhou, Chongqing, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Xiong'an, and Zhengzhou. The association also hosted the Smart Health Exhibition and Forum at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which was honored as the "Best Conference Event." Under the guidance of relevant ministries, CHA has implemented three major livelihood projects: the "Employee Health Promotion Project," "Elderly Health Promotion Project," and "Child Health Promotion Project," making significant contributions to building a multi-tiered health service system. Its "Smart Village Doctor" initiative has covered over 10 million rural residents, increasing chronic disease awareness by 15.87% and control rates by 33.45%, earning high praise from the National Health Commission and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.

In collaboration with the Insurance Association of China, CHA released the "Guidelines for Health Management Standardization in the Insurance Industry," which has become a benCHArk for the sector. During the pandemic, CHA provided 10.41 million people with epidemic prevention guidance, psychological counseling, and health education through platforms like Xinhua Net and China Net, with content views exceeding 100 million. Its five anti-epidemic theme songs, including "This Journey Has You and Me," were widely broadcast on CCTV, Toutiao, and other mainstream media.

In theoretical research, CHA has compiled the "Introduction to Health Management Professions," now a national university textbook, and published specialized works such as the "Innovation Report on China's Elderly Health Insurance" and the "China Health Management Report 2024." The association proposed the "From Hospitals to Health Institutes" concept and submitted 19 high-quality proposals to the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), including "Promoting Healthy Aging in China." It also put forward over 10 policy recommendations, such as "Establishing National Health Management Pilot Zones in Grassroots Health Reform Areas" and "Adding Medical Service Innovation Modules to Public Hospital Reforms."

CHA has released 42 group standards, including the "Chronic Disease Health Management Guidelines," and provided more than 50 professional consultation reports to governments in Hainan, Sichuan, Yixing (Jiangsu), and Wuhan (Hubei). The association has issued 10 industry declarations, such as the "Hangzhou Declaration on National Health Action" and the "Liangshan Poverty Alleviation Initiative."

Additionally, CHA has obtained accreditation from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security for "Health Manager Vocational Skill Certification," launched the "Health Management Teacher Training Program," and undertaken the "Nutrition Instructor Training Project" for the National Health Commission. It has also collaborated on initiatives like the "Great Wall Health Cloud" and "Great Wall Medical AI Model," conducted pilot projects such as "Health Institute" Trials and "Community Health Management Innovation Pilots," and contributed to the "Undergraduate-Level Health Management" program under the Ministry of Education.

CHA remains committed to Party principle, embedding "public welfare" in its development and upholding "national health" as its sacred mission. Moving forward, the association will align with the new development paradigm, implement innovative strategies, and support the Healthy China initiative. By addressing public health needs, guiding the high-quality growth of the health service industry, and advancing national health programs, CHA aims to become:
    •  A think tank for national health policy,
    •  A platform for public health education,
    •  A bridge for international health collaboration.
Dedicated to building a healthy and prosperous modern socialist China, CHA will continue to contribute to the well-being of the people and the advancement of global health management.
